H-ikkuna Oy was established in 2009. We are new at the Finnish window markets, but have more than 50 years experience in creating window solutions. We are fully owned by Norwegian Spilka.
H-ikkuna window is based on Spilka's hinge technology developed in 1959. Based in Ålesund, western Norway, Spilka is the world leading manufacturer of hinges for outward opening windows.
"To create a window that is as easy as possible to operate and wash." That was the leading idea for the development of H-ikkuna's unique innovation. According to the story it also gave the spark for the original name "Husmorvinduet", "Housewive's window".
